We are very familiar with the construction peculiarities of Western Colorado and are comfortable with the unusual aspects of mountain construction. Gould Construction has a large inventory of equipment, and has been very successful competitively bidding specialized projects. We have an excellent working relationship with many regional suppliers that can provide a wide range of support.
Gould Construction has worked closely with many engineering firms in Western Colorado and takes pride in our relationships with the local engineering community. We have teamed up with local design and engineering firms to value engineer projects often providing significant savings to owners.
Our History
Incorporated June 11, 1979 in the State of Colorado, Gould Construction, Inc. has become the leading heavy and highway Contractor in Western Colorado, currently employing over 100 employees with a diverse range of experience.
Gould Construction received the Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America in the Design-Build category. The award was given for the Grizzly Creek Diversion and Pipeline construction located in a remote environmentally sensitive area of the White River National Forest. All construction was accomplished with helicopter support. Construction crews camped on site through out the project.
Safety
It is the intent of Gould Construction, Inc. to conduct all operations safely and to establish procedures that prevent occupational illness, accidents, and property damage. This policy applies to all activities performed by Gould Construction and their subcontractors. In conducting the activities under precautions, these procedures ensure to protect the health and safety of employees and members of the general public and comply with all H&S regulations. Gould Construction has produced a Health and Safety Policy Manual that provides our employees the mandatory occupational health and safety policies for work performed.

It is a firm belief of Gould Construction, Inc. that all incidents are preventable through commitment, participation and cooperation of all parties involved on our work sites. Gould Construction implements a Drug Free Workplace policy. At a minimum, Gould Construction conducts weekly site inspections and daily safety meetings. These meetings are held in both the English and Spanish languages.
As further proof that Gould Construction is conscientious about the safety and health of our employees, subcontractors, and the general public, year after year we maintain a high Experience Modification Rate for Worker’s Compensation.

Gould Construction implements a Drug Free Workplace policy. This policy certifies this company’s intent to maintain a safe, drug-free workplace. All applicants will be tested for the presence of certain controlled substances prior to hire. On a weekly basis, Gould Construction will choose one or more employees for testing in a random manner from the work force as a whole to ensure the continuing lack of drugs in the workplace. At a minimum, Gould Construction conducts weekly site inspections and safety meetings. These meetings are held in both the English and Spanish languages.
