Project Highlights
-As the General Contractor Gould installed a new roundabout at the 4 mile intersection and constructed a new 10 ft wide pedestrian/bike path from 4 mile road to the 27th street bridge.
-New bike path consisted of excavation of the existing steep roadside terrain, installing subgrade stabilization materials, gravity block retaining walls, 10 ft wide concrete path, guardrail and a steel railing along a significant portion of the trail.
-Guardrail engineered as a safety feature to separate vehicle and pedestrian/bicycle traffic.
-Installed a new 18” pvc main water main, mitigated seasonal rockfall with rockfall netting, constructed shotcrete and gravity retaining walls.
-Widened existing city streets.
